OTTO offers a unique BESS (battery energy storage system) that is inexpensive and easy to install, currently designed specifically for UK homes. It can be installed anywhere in the property without the need for DNO permissions.
OTTO uses machine learning information to optimize charging and discharging, significantly reducing CO” emissions and energy costs for the installed property.
OTTO batteries reduce CO2 emissions and energy costs by over 30%, contributing to the UK’s Net Zero targets and improving energy efficiency in residential properties.

Who are we?
Founder and CEO Darryl Piper had the idea to bring an easily installed and affordable housing energy optimising solution to UK homes back in 2023. Since then, he has gathered investment to bring the idea to reality, with electronics and product design consultancies working to bring a proof-of-concept prototype to fruition. OTTO’s technology is currently patent pending.
